As part of the National “Kids for Kids®” project, (healthy kids helping sick kids), MTE Photography is working on producing a beautifully illustrated limited edition coffee table book titled “Kids of Canberra and Region” – a portrait of a generation. This book will feature children (up to the age of 12 years) from the ACT and surrounding region.

If you have ever thought of having professional portraits taken of your children, doing so now will help raise much needed money to make dreams come true for children with life threatening illnesses. Proceeds from the nomination fees will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Australia.

To take part in this worthwhile cause, the following nomination fees apply:

• For families with one child, $75
• For families with two or more children, $100

The nomination fees go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Payment of the fee guarantees your children will be photographed and have a page in the book allocated to them.

Portrait sessions will take place at locations the children will feel most comfortable at thus ensuring parents will end up with beautiful images they will be proud to frame for their walls.

Michael Thorne AAIPP is the selected photographer for our Region. A long standing member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, Michael has been photographing families and children for 26 years and has at various times been awarded ACT Professional Photographer of the Year, ACT Wedding Photographer of the Year and ACT Portrait Photographer of the Year. Michael’s wife, Alana, is a Registered Nurse working at Canberra Hospital Children’s Ward. They have two boys, aged 5 and 7 years, so this project is very close to their hearts.
