Home based childcare or childcare swap wanted for 2009
I am a primary school teacher who needs to return to work in 2009 for 2-3 days per week. My little girl will be 12 months old in February. I am interested in finding either someone who can provide home based childcare (family day care type care) or, if I can find someone suitable, doing a childcare swap if you are in a similiar situation. If interested in the latter option, I would be happy to mind your child of a similiar age in my home and then you mind my child in your home. I live in Giralang so therefore am only looking for someone within a 5-10 minute drive (Belconnen/Inner North/Gungahlin area). If you are interested in helping me out with either of these options, please call 0418 415 401.
Free Film Premiere for Parents & Expecting Parents The ACT Branch of the International Association of Infant Massage warmly invites parents, expecting parents, grandparents, and anyone who cares for children to its premiere screening of the groundbreaking film "What Babies Want". Drawing from the latest science combined with the heart-warming wisdom and experience of parents from around the world, and narrated by Noah Wyle, this timely film helps us understand what babies truly are, what they know, and how we can support them to be their best as they develop and grow. This film reveals that even before birth, each baby is capable of feeling, communicating, learning and experiencing. This film shows how science is revealing what many parents knew all along: babies need to be welcomed with close and loving contact with their parents, families and communities in order to develop to their full potential. The film deals with themes of bonding, attachment, belonging, community, memory, and many others. It is a film told with heart and hope, offering parents, families and communities practical insights that help us to provide what babies not only want - but what they need - in order to thrive and flourish. WHEN: Tuesday, 9th December 2008 TIME: 6pm (film starts at 6:20pm) VENUE: Room S4, Signadou Campus, Australian Catholic University, Antill St, Watson COST: Free, light refreshments provided RSVP: While the event is free, seats are limited and bookings are essential. Please contact the ACT Branch of the International Association of Infant Massage on ten@netspace.net.au or 6287 3727 to book your seats.
